ALGAE STOP

Occurrence of various kinds of algae is one of the most frequent problems to be dealt with during pool water treatment. Algae are often a cause of turbidity and slimy sediments created on the pool bottom and walls. ALGAE STOP is suitable to be used as prevention together with disinfecting agents based on active chlorine or oxygen. The agent is to be added into the pool with the circulation device switched on as follows:
Initial dose: 150-200 ml/10 m3/week, maintaining dose: 100-150 ml/10 m3/week.
If undesired algae still occur, use a single amount of the agent equal to 300-400 ml per 10 m3. Killed algae should be filtered off with a filtrating unit, remaining algae are to be removed through flocculation – use FLOCCULANT LIQUID or FLOCCULANT GRANULAR agents according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.

CLEANER GEL

The alkaline gel cleaning agent is designed to clean all kinds of pool foils and pool wall and bottom materials before the pool is used as well as during its operation. Depending on the level of contamination the agent may be used either diluted in water in the ratio from 1:3 to 1:30 (1 litre of the agent diluted in 3 to 30 litres of water), or concentrated – which is enabled due to its gel consistency.
When the water is discharged from the pool, the prepared solution or the concentrated agent is applied onto wet surfaces and the surfaces are cleaned with a wet brush and rinsed with water; the rinsing water is then discharged from the pool. The greasy line around the water level is removed so that the solution or the agent is applied when the water level is decreased by 5-10 cm, and is then wiped off with a wet cloth or sponge (the cloth or the sponge is never rinsed in the water contained in the pool).

FLOCCULANT LIQUID

One of the most frequent problems occurring during care of water in the pool is creation of turbidity caused due to fine mechanical or organic impurities or remnants after algae liquidation. If FLOCCULANT LIQUID agent is used, these fine particles will be transformed into a form that may be removed through filtration in sand or cartridge filters.
Before the agent is added into the pool, the water pH value must be altered first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing so that it is in the range between 6.5 and 6.8.
Depending on the level of water contamination, FLOCCULANT LIQUID agent in the amount of 10 - 50 ml is added to each 10 m3 of water in the pool. The measured amount is diluted in water (50-100 ml of the agent per 1 litre of water) and is evenly sprinkled on the water level with the water circulation turned on for about four hours in order to mix the agent with water. Then the circulation will be switched off for 12 hours. During this period, big floccules of impurities will precipitate in water; they may be removed by means of a pool vacuum cleaner or may be caught during filtration. If you do not succeed in altering the water in the pool to the quality required, the whole procedure is to be repeated.

FLOCCULANT GRANULAR

One of the most frequent problems occurring during care of water in the pool is creation of turbidity caused due to fine mechanical or organic impurities or remnants after algae liquidation. If FLOCCULANT GRANULAR agent is used, these fine particles will be transformed into a form that may be removed through filtration in sand or cartridge filters.
Before the agent is added into the pool, the water pH value must be altered first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing so that it is in the range between 7.2 and 7.6.
Depending on the level of water contamination, FLOCCULANT GRANULAR agent in the amount of 20 - 40 g is added to each 10 m3 of water in the pool. The pool operation must be interrupted. The added amount is evenly spread on the water level in the deepest part of the pool, preferably in the evening, water is mixed for a short time and then the water circulation is turned off for about one hour. Then the circulation will remain switched on again till the next day, as a result of which the floccules created become caught in the filter. Big floccules may also be removed from the pool bottom by means of a pool vacuum cleaner while the circulation is switched off. If you do not succeed in altering the water in the pool to the quality required, the whole procedure is to be repeated.

FLOCCULANT TABLETS IN CARTRIDGES

One of the most frequent problems occurring during care of water in the pool is creation of turbidity caused due to fine mechanical or organic impurities or remnants after algae liquidation. If FLOCCULANT TABS agent is used, these fine particles will be transformed into a form that may be removed through filtration in sand or cartridge filters. The agent also reduces the contents of ferric, manganous and cupric ions.

Before the agent is added into the pool, the water pH value must be altered first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing so that it is in the range between 7.2 and 7.6. Then put one cartridge with the agent to the skimmer or to the pool overflow sump per the maximum volume of 50 m3 of water once a week or two weeks. The pool operation does not have to be interrupted, flocculated impurities will be continually trapped in the filter with the circulation switched on. The continual creation of flocks increases filter clogging, therefore in the case of a sand filter it is recommended to wash the filter more often, in the case of cartridge filters the cartridges should be replaced more frequently than usual.

If the water in the pool is not clear even after the FLOCCULANT TABS agent has been used, it is possible to apply shock chlorination with CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR, CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR SUPER or CHLORINE GRANULAR agents according to the instructions for use on the relevant agent packaging. In order to remove copper ions from the pool water, increase the pH value so that it is from 7.6 to 7.8, filter perfectly and then use FLOCCULANT TABS again.

CHLORINE GRANULAR

The fast soluble organic chlorine-containing granulated agent is used for rapid water treatment during the season in the case of extreme conditions of the pool operation (high temperatures, pool load, stormy weather) and in the case of water with a non-standard quality (turbidity, bad smell). If the agent is used, the required chlorine concentration is achieved quickly, which will help the water quality parameters to return to the required values and will create the conditions for later application of agents used for long-term water quality maintenance. If compared with CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR agent, the decrease in the chlorine content is slower due to gradual creation of stabilising substances.
Before the agent is used, the water pH value should be altered to the value from 6.8 to 7.6 using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents. In the case of hard water, its hardness may be stabilised with WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent, all this according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
CHLORINE GRANULAR in the amount of 40-80 g/10 m3 is slowly poured into the levelling tank. The measured amount of the agent may also be dissolved in a plastic bucket and the created solution may then be slowly poured into the levelling tank or directly into the pool. The water contained in the pool must be mixed properly and if the active chlorine concentration found out by means of a tester is lower 0.3 mg/l, another amount of the agent must be added. After the water in the pool is treated with CHLORINE GRANULAR agent, CHLORINE TABS agent or COMBI TABS agent is used for long-term treatment of the pool water according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.

CHLORINE RAPID 20 g

Fast soluble organic chlorine-containing tablets with 56 % of active chlorine are used for continuous water disinfection during the season. If used, the required chlorine concentration is quickly achieved. The chorine decrease is slower due to gradually created stabilising substances.
Before the agent is used, the pH value of water should be altered using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents to the value between 6.8 and 7.6. In the case of hard water, its hardness may be stabilised with addition of WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent, all according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
CHLORINE RAPID agent in the amount of 3 - 4 pieces per 10 m3 is put in the levelling tank, chemical reservoir or float This amount should be sufficient to maintain the necessary concentration of free chlorine in water (i.e. between 0.3 and 0.5 mg/l) for 3 to 5 days depending on the factors affecting the amount of active chlorine in water, e.g. the air and water temperature, sunshine intensity, etc.

CHLORINE TABS 20 g

After the pool is filled with water or when the pool is to be used again at the beginning of the season, the pH value of water should be altered at first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents to the value between 6.8 and 7.6. In the case of hard water, its hardness may be stabilised with addition of WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent. Then the first chlorinating with CHLORINE START agent is performed, all according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
Then one piece of CHLORINE TABS 20 g per 3 m3 of water in the pool is put in the float or in the tablet dosing unit. This amount should be sufficient to maintain the necessary concentration of active chlorine in water between 0.3 and 0.5 mg/l for 5 to 10 days depending on the factors affecting the amount of active chlorine in water, e.g. the air and water temperature, sunshine intensity and pool load. The correct active chlorine concentration and the right pH value should be checked regularly with a suitable tester. In order to prevent algae from occurring it is suitable to use ALGAE STOP agent in parallel. If the water quality suddenly becomes worse or if algae occur, one-time treatment of water with CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR may be performed, all in accordance with the instructions for use shown on the agent packing. In the case of pools larger than 10 m3, CHLORINE TABS 200 g should be used preferably.

CHLORINE TABS 200 g

After the pool is filled with water or when the pool is to be used again at the beginning of the season, the pH value of water should be altered at first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents to the value between 6.8 and 7.6. In the case of hard water, its hardness may be stabilised with addition of WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent. Then the first chlorinating with CHLORINE START agent is performed, all according to the instructions for use shown on these agents.
Then one piece CHLORINE TABS 200 g per 10 m3 of water in the pool is put in the float or in the dosing unit.

CHLORINE START

The fast soluble organic chlorine-containing granulated agent is used for rapid water treatment at the beginning of the season or after the pool is refilled again. If the agent is used, the required chlorine concentration is achieved quickly and the conditions for later application of agents used for long-term water quality maintenance will be created.
CHLORINE START in the amount of 40-80 g/10 m3 is slowly poured into the skimmer or the levelling tank so that the granulate is fluently pulled into the circulation system. The measured amount of the agent may also be dissolved in a plastic bucket and the created solution may then be slowly poured into the skimmer while the water circulation is switched on. The water contained in the pool must be mixed properly and if the active chlorine concentration found out by means of a tester is lower 0.3 mg/l, another amount of the agent must be added. After the water in the pool is treated with CHLORINE START agent, CHLORINE TABS agent or COMBI TABS agent is used for long-term treatment of the pool water according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.

CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR

CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR is an agent that is used one-time in cases where the quality of water in a pool treated with CHLORINE TABS or COMBI TABS agents becomes much worse, often in connection with the occurrence of algae, due to a number of circumstances, e.g. due to temporarily neglected care of the pool or as a result of high air temperatures or storms. Before the agent is added, the pH value must first be checked using a respective tester and altered, if necessary, using pH-MINUS or pH-PLUS agents to the value from 6.8 to 7.6 according to the instructions for use shown on these agents.

The usual dosage is 90 g of the agent for 10 mof water in the pool; this dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the level of impurities. The agent is slowly poured into the skimmer while the water circulation is switched on so that the granulated product is gradually pulled into the circulation system. The measured amount may also be dissolved in a suitable plastic vessel in advance and the created solution may then be slowly poured into the skimmer while the water circulation is on. Algae killed this way are partially filtered off with a suitable filtering unit and the remaining algae should be removed by means of flocculation using FLOCCULANT agent according to the instructions for use on the agent packing. In the course of shock treatment of water the pool is not suitable to be used for swimming due to a high chlorine concentration; this may be renewed only after its contents drops to the maximum value of 0.5 mg/l. After the water is clean, CHLORINE TABS or COMBI TABS may be used for the purposes of water treatment again.

COMBI TABS 20 g

After the pool is filled with water or when the pool is to be used again at the beginning of the season, the pH value of water should be altered at first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents to the value between 6.8 and 7.6. In the case of hard water, its hardness may be stabilised with an addition of WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent. Then the initial chlorinating is carried out using CHLORINE START agent, always according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
Then one piece of COMBI TAB 20 g per 3 m3 of water in the pool is put in the float or in the tablet dosing unit. The agent already contains substances that should prevent algae from occurring, nevertheless should any algae appear, water may be treated with CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR agent according to the instructions for use shown on the agent packing. In the case of pools larger than 10 m3 COMBI TABS 200 g agent should be used preferably.

COMBI TABS 200 g

After the pool is filled with water or when the pool is to be used again at the beginning of the season, the pH value of water should be altered at first using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents to the value between 6.8 and 7.6. In the case of hard water, its hardness may be stabilised with an addition of WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent. Then the initial chlorinating is carried out using CHLORINE START agent, always according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
Then one piece of COMBI TAB 200 g per 20-30 m3 of water in the pool is put in the float or in the tablet dosing unit. The agent already contains substances that should prevent algae from occurring, nevertheless should any algae appear, water may be treated with CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR agent according to the instructions for use shown on the agent packing.

OXYSHOCK GRANULAR

The agent for the first water treatment at the beginning of the season or after a new filling of the pool with water, for supplies of active oxygen and its concentration regulation during continuous water treatment. Before the agent is added, always check the water pH value by means of a tester and alter it using pH MINUS or pH PLUS if necessary so that the water pH value is in the range from 6.8 to 7.6, and in the case of hard water its hardness should be stabilised using WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent. Before OXYSHOCK GRANULAR agent is applied for the first time (at the beginning of the season or after the pool is filled), apply OXY START agent, all according to instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
The first dosage should be 40-80 g/10 m3, the following amounts should be added as necessary so that the minimum active oxygen concentration measured with an OXI tester at the water outlet from the pool is 8 mg/l. Pour the measured amount slowly into the skimmer so that the granulated agent is fluently pulled into the circulation system, or dissolve the necessary amount in water in a plastic bucket and pour the prepared solution into the pool next to the skimmer. In order to prevent creation of algae, it is suitable to use ALGAE STOP agent in parallel. Should algae appear in the pool during its operation, use ALGAE STOP agent according to the instructions for use shown on this agent.

OXY START

OXY START is used after the pool is filled or refilled with water to stabilise and support the effect of disinfection based on active oxygen. The agent application is important especially in the case of not treated water containing metals (iron, manganese, or also copper and other metals) causing faster degradation of active oxygen

Apply OXY START after the pool is filled or refilled. Pour the measured amount of the agent slowly into the skimmer or directly into the pool in the amount of 200 ml per every 10 m3 of water while the circulation is running. Alter the pH value of water using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents to the value between 6.8 and 7.6 subsequently. Then perform the first shocking using OXYSHOCK agent. Use OXY TABS 200 g agent if necessary to maintain the active oxygen in water so that the active oxygen value measured at the water outlet of the pool is 8 – 16 mg/l.

OXY TABS 200 g

Unlike chlorine-containing agents, no unpleasant smell is created and eyes, mucous parts and skin do not become irritated while chlorine-free agents based on active oxygen are used, nevertheless care of the pool is more demanding if quality water is to be achieved, especially due to the necessity to check its quality more frequently.
Before OXY TABS 200 g agent is applied for the first time (at the beginning of the season or after the pool is filled), apply OXY START, all according to instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing.
Then one piece of OXY TAB 200 g per 10 m3 of water in the pool is put in the float or in the tablet dosing unit. This amount should be sufficient to maintain the necessary concentration of active oxygen in water between 8 and 16 mg/l for 5 to 10 days depending on the factors affecting the amount of active oxygen in water, e.g. the air and water temperature, sunshine intensity and pool load. If the pool is subject to a higher load, two pieces of OXY TABS 200 g per 10 m3 of water in the pool may be applied. The correct active oxygen concentration and the right pH value should be checked regularly with a suitable tester. In order to prevent algae from occurring or if algae have already occurred, it is suitable to use ALGAE STOP agent in parallel according to the instructions for use on its packing.

pH  MINUS

The correctly set pH value of water in the pool is a precondition for perfect functioning of an overwhelming majority of the agents from the PROPOOL range as well as for creation of pleasant swimming conditions.
The pH value of water should be between 6.8 and 7.6; this may be verified by means of a suitable pool tester. The pH value above 7.6 may develop mineral turbidity, the filtering system may become blocked, the disinfection efficiency gets reduced, eyes and skin become irritated. The pH value below 6.8 causes metal and concrete corrosion, discolouring, eye and skin irritation.
If the pH value exceeds 7.6, pH MINUS agent is used to decrease it. If pH MINUS agent in the amount of 80 g is added per each 10 m3 of water in the pool, the pH value will become lower by 0.1 approximately. The measured amount of the agent is dissolved in a plastic bucket in water and is poured into the deepest part of the pool while water circulation is switched on. After all water in the pool is perfectly mixed, the pH value is measured again and the whole procedure may be repeated depending on the result.

pH  PLUS

The correctly set pH value of water in the pool is a precondition for perfect functioning of an overwhelming majority of the agents from the PROPOOL range as well as for creation of pleasant swimming conditions.
The pH value of water should be between 6.8 and 7.6; this may be verified by means of a suitable pool tester. The pH value above 7.6 may develop mineral turbidity, the filtering system may become blocked, the disinfection efficiency gets reduced, eyes and skin become irritated. The pH value below 6.8 causes metal and concrete corrosion, discolouring, eye and skin irritation.
If the pH value is lower than 6.8, pH PLUS agent is used to increase it. If pH PLUS agent in the amount of 100 g is added per each 10 m3 of water in the pool, the pH value will become higher by 0.1 approximately. The measured amount of the agent is dissolved in a plastic bucket in water and is poured into the deepest part of the pool while water circulation is switched on. After all water in the pool is perfectly mixed, the pH value is measured again and the whole procedure may be repeated depending on the result.

WATER HARDNESS STABILISATOR

Water hardness caused due to an increased content of mineral substances, calcium and magnesium may be the reason for a number of problems occurring during pool water treatment, e.g. undesired water colouring, turbidity or mineral sediments. Before the pool is filled with water, especially if water from wells is used, it is suitable to determine its hardness. In the case of hard water (above 200 ppm), it is suitable to add this agent immediately after the pool is filled with water; the agent binds ions of calcium, magnesium and other mineral substances to itself and reduces their adverse effects.
The initial amount of the agent is 250 ml per 10 m3 of water; in the case of very hard water (above 300 ppm), the amount to be added is 500 ml per 10 mof water. In order to remove already created colouring or turbidity, and at the end of the season, the amount to be added is always 500 ml per 10 m3 of water. The measured amount is slowly poured into the skimmer while the water circulation is switched on. It is suitable to use the agent while water is treated with chlorine or oxygen agents.

WINTERFIT

The agent prevents development of algae and creation of mineral turbidity and sediments during the winter period.
Before the agent is added, alter the pH value of water to 7-7.4 using pH MINUS or pH PLUS agents and add WATER HARDNESS STABILIZER agent, according to the instructions for use shown on the relevant agent packing. Decrease the water level in the pool below the skimmer and return nozzles.
Add WINTETRFIT agent in the amount of 1 litre for 20 m3, dilute the measured amount with water in the ratio of 1:9 and pour the solution evenly along the whole edge of the pool. Then cover the pool and secure in accordance with the pool manufacturer’s instructions.
